We had a wonderful stay in this amazing hotel nestled in among 1000 yr old buildings and churches, picturesque bridges and narrow walkways. But the best of the visit was the friendly and helpful staff. The owner is also the chef for the upscale, hotel restaurant and after he found out that we hadn't eaten for over 12 hours, he voluntarily prepared a special plate for us to tide us over until dinner at 7 p.m. We ate two evening meals at the hotel restaurant and rate it as the best food we've had on our entire 40 day trip to Ireland,, UK, Paris and Vienna. If your looking for a Venice hotel with history and mediterranean charm plus a fantastic staff, Locanda La Corte should be your choice.
