Beautiful hotel with great swimming pools. There was not so many people. Stuff was very helpful and friendly. Big parking, big and comfortable room. Nice (but not luxury) bathroom. Good breakfast and cheap bar.

Classic mid range hotel attracting all ages. Popular with Italians as well as some foreign tourists. Montegrotto is a spa resort with many (and perhaps similar) hotels. This one is great, being right by the train station (10 mins to Padova) and close to the small town centre. Lovely pools and spa with professional and helpful staff. We enjoyed it all. I telephoned in advance, as our flight meant a late arrival, to arrange a private shuttle car from Marco Polo Airport. This is €35 pp and worth it to avoid trouble getting a train from Venice Mestre. Lots to see in Padova, and if you have time do also visit Villa dei Vescovi in the nearby Eugenee hills. A wonderful place of frescoes and more. No bus on Sunday so we took a taxi €25 each way. Worth every penny.
