About this property

Set in the historic square of Piazza Monteoliveto, this B&B is in the heart of Naples. It offers elegant rooms, each with a balcony, free Wi-Fi and either wood floors or 17th century brick floors. Monteoliveto Bed & Breakfast is halfway between the famous squares of Piazza del Gesù Nuovo and Piazza Carità. It is a 10-minute walk from Naples Harbor and is great for visiting the city's ancient monuments and shops. Breakfast includes homemade cakes, croissants and hot and cold drinks. Our property is located in the ancient historical center a few minutes walk from all major attractions, museums, places of worship and well connected to all public transport: rail, sea, bus, funicular and metro '   In a 1600 building, namely "Donnalbina" building which has its own story: The Three Sisters The three daughters of Toraldo baron, noble seat of the Nile, Donna Romita, Donna Regina and Donnalbina, afflicted and would wander in search of love between Piazza San Domenico Maggiore and Via Mezzocannone. Betrothed to the knight Filippo Capece, Donna Regina gave up on hearing the news that the other two sisters were, reciprocated, hopelessly in love with a knight. Renouncing marriage and thus breaking the promise to the old father, on his deathbed, to give effect to the dynasty, the three sisters, by mutual agreement, devolved half of his possessions to the poor and the other to the foundation, for each, a monastery of which were abbess, doing in fact pay off. From here the names of the three rooms: Albina, Romita and Queen
