Obviously a one-time palace. Huge, comfortable room with a separate sitting room for television and a spacious, well equipped bathroom. Gorgeous grounds. Perfect location. And an extremely friendly/helpful staff.

The room was beautiful with high ceilings, and nicely decorated. The shower and bathroom was large. Air conditioned, which was awesome in the summer heat. Lovely garden to sit in behind the property. Parking nearby. Freshly prepared breakfast items, coffee in the lobby as well as drinks for the afternoon. Near the Capella Scrovegni, and the Cathedral. Also convenient to the train station for other day trips. Good restaurants nearby.

To say our accommodations at the Palazzo Mantua Benavides exceeded our expectations would be an understatement. While, admittedly, we planned for this stay to be special and opted for one of their larger room options, we never quite expected the spaciousness, beauty, quality and thoughtfulness encountered here. From our email exchanges with Gioconda and others there, to our warm greeting by Giovanni, to our marvelous cooked-from-scratch breakfasts by Conti, our visit at Palazzo Mantua Benavides greatly enhanced our Padua stay. A historic Palazzo on the outside, the accommodations provide every modern convenience that you might desire. Located steps from main city attractions, a 10 minute walk to the train station, near shops, restaurants and cafes, it’s also away from traffic on a quiet side street. Small in size, it packs a memorable holiday punch.

Very very difficult to find the hotel. Eventually we were rounded up by the lovely Lisa and shown to our enormous room with a huge bed and very large bathroom. The only downside was the air conditioning which was woefully insignificant. Breakfast was lovely with eggs to order, fruit and other goodies.

To stay in a big room, very tastefuly decorated, in a real palace with the huge statue of Hercules in the courtyard, the big and beautiful gardens and having a delicious breakfast in a beautiful ornated room, it's a real treat! But the best thing is to know and beig taken care by the classy, knewledgable, modest and very kind Gioconda, the lady of the palace. I can't recomend enough to anybody visiting beautiful Padova, to have this special experience.

There is a wonderful surprise in the courtyard. The rooms are spacious and well-equiped. It is a true historic property in an exceptional neighborhood. Worth every penny for the experience.
