Outstanding in all respects, food, location, staff, view, amenities and attention to detail. Would give a higher rating is we could. Best place we have stayed and food eaten during travel through France and Italy. Beautiful view of San Gimignano from dinner on the terrace, beautiful food every night and morning and the care of each staff member were highlights.

Segretto is "heaven on earth". The tranquility of this special place is remarkable and enters the soul. The views of San Gimignano from the this place is amazing and there is easy walking access to the town. The breakfasts were incredible - all freshly baked cakes and breads and healthy yogurts and veggies. The dinners were perfectly prepared. Diego and Pedro are amazingly welcoming hosts to this wondrous place they have created.

This enchanting 15th century property, nestled in the rolling hills of Tuscany, offers an exceptional view of the surrounding countryside and San Gimignano. A free outdoor pool is available on site.

The Tuscan-style rooms have handcrafted furniture and original features from the 16th century, such as wood-beamed ceilings and terracotta floors. Each includes a satellite flat-screen TV, air conditioning and a minibar. Each bathroom includes a spacious shower.

  • Do you have a clothes washer/dryer for guests to use?
    Thank you for your interest in our Agriturismo for your stay!! Actually we don't have a washer/dryer available for guests, but we do offer laundry service. The dry cleaner that takes care of our hotel can take your clothes and bring them back clean the day after. Please make sure to give us your laundry with more than 48hs before check-out, so there's enough time for the clothes to come back!! :) All the best, Pedro

  • Hello! I am planning a 30th anniversary trip to Tuscany and maybe a seaside town. in 2022. We will be joined by another couple for one of the weeks, and then by our children the second. We would come the last week of June through the first week of July. When should I be able to book?

Property information

ll Segreto di Pietrafitta is a magical place located close to the main gates of the magnificent medieval town of San Gimignano, famous worldwide because of its towers that are still standing today. The structure where Il Segreto di Pietrafitta is located is originally from 1490, and its was recently restored in order to provide all modern comforts, while at the same time keeping a magical atmosphere given by the original architectural elements, such as the wood beamed ceilings and the Tuscan clay floors. Every breakfast you'll be able to enjoy sweet and savory dishes, 100% home made. The huge swimming pool is located right in front of the town's towers, and will leave unforgettable memories, especially during the sunsets, an almost surreal view that our guests get to appreciate. The views of San Gimignano was many times described by our guests as "So beautiful that is seems like a painting." Tuscany is wonderful, and here at Il Segreto di Pietrafitta you'll be able to appreciate its essence.

Neighbourhood information

From our agriturismo it's possible to reach Florence in 40', and Siena in 30'. Tuscany offers also several small pearls, so beautiful that will leave you breatheless. Volterra, Monteriggioni, Pienza, and Pitigliano are some of the many wonderful medieval Tuscan towns that you'll be able to visit using our agriturismo as a base point. At the end o the day, you'll also be able to drink a glass of wine on our terrace, overlooking San Gimignano, as a final present to your soul.
