charming, well furnished apartment with a delicious and bountiful breakfast that we prepared ourselves

A great apartment. Very comfortable, clean, and we'll appointed. Separate bedroom, living area with fully stocked kitchen and table, plus a bathroom with washer. Lots of food! The fridge is stocked with eggs, water, meat, cheese, butter. There is bread, milk, jams, cookies, spreads. More than we could possibly eat. You can hear the bells on the local sheep herd in the distance :) Friendly proprietor. Does not speak English, but was no problem communicating well enough to meet our needs. Used booking messaging to let her know when we wanted to check out, and arrange where to leave the key. A very nice stay. Centrally located between Pitigliano, Sorano, and Sovana. 10 min drive to each.

We loved our stay at the Poderone Vecchio. The owner of the house was extremely nice and welcoming. The room had everything you could ask for and we enjoyed our delicious breakfast in the lovely garden. Amazing place if you‘re looking for some quiet time in the Tuscan countryside.
