GermanyJust wow, the place, the view, the sunset in the evening. Staff were extra nice and the room was amazing. As Stelvio is so beautiful being still higher makes it that more interesting. As it is a rifugio/shelter one would think that there might be a long hike up there, but it’s pretty short and not hard at all. Just park the car at the free parking down on Stelvio pass and walk up to your new adventure

The views of passo, Ortles and glaciers are breathtaking, dinner menu simply amazing, staff very friendly and room was cozy and clean. It's situated on the hill above passo on the touristic path so you can't get there by car and you need to walk. But it's definitely worth every step.

PS: there is a border stone right next to the house, italy and switzerland - and 100 yrs ago also Austria- meet there. We had fun entering and leAving Switzerland with one step!
