The staff was super helpful giving us advice on which mountains to go skiing and the best times to arrive for avoiding crowds. The Sulmona Chocolate festival was going on when we arrived and the street (Corso) to get to the hotel was closed off, when we called the hotel they came out to get us and parked for us while we checked-in to our room. Breakfast was great, the location was great, the staff was awesome, it was a great visit to Sulmona!

Everything in my stay was fabulous but the best of all are the members of the family that own the hotel. They are specially nice people. Thank you for receiving me as I was at my own home. From the moment we arrived Angela took care of us. She gave us a map of the town for exploring, gave great recommendations for dinner and while we slept she prepared a hand drawn itinerary for our explorations the next day. It was such a welcoming experience and the room was big, the breakfast delicious and the people of the town so pleasant. A/C worked great and the hotel has such charm. I saved Angela’s drawing for our journal to remember this great place.

They even planned a detailed day trip itinerary for us, with a handmade map and created a very memorable adventure for us in the Abruzzo Region. On our departure day, they insisted on providing breakfast for us at 6:15AM, even though the normal start of breakfast is 7:30AM. Wonderful people in a wonderful hotel! If you have the opportunity to visit the Abruzzo region, stay at the Hotel Rojan in Sulmona. You won’t be disappointed.
