Location was excellent, right by the Spanish Steps. Breakfast was delicious, many choices. Room included a terrace, had a king size bed and an extra twin bed we used for our luggage. Bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay here very much. Staff was helpful getting us airport transfers, suggesting restaurants and giving us directions. We would stay here again if we came back to Rome!

Myself, husband and 2 boys (aged 9 and 11) stayed for a week, and it was amazing. The location is absolutely perfect!! Literally on top of the Spanish steps. We were able to walk to all different areas of Rome very easily. The hotel itself exceeded expectations - staff was very friendly, rooms were very clean, and the beds were so comfortable! (Arguably the most comfortable beds we have ever had in a hotel). We booked the adjoining rooms with balcony - worked perfectly for our family. There was an extra bed in our room (a sitting area would have been preferred - however, we were able to sit in the rooftop terrace/breakfast room in the evenings if we wanted, and it was just a few steps away). The breakfast every morning was a great start to the day - staff was very friendly, and there was something for everyone. A lot of care was put into the breakfast. Would HIGHLY recommend Hotel Scalinata for anyone visiting Rome!

This location is superb and Massimo the owner and his colleagues made every effort to make our stay pleasant and comfortable. We were offered to have breakfast in the terrazza but we knew few places around the city where to eat good croissants and sip excellent cappuccinos so we did not take the opportunity. Anyway great stay.

Our room was wonderful, with a private terrace. While the room was small, there was more than enough storage. the closet has hangers and shelves that are big enough to store your suitcase. The bed was a true king with amazing linens and so comfortable. I can’t say enough about the staff and their helpfulness or the room or the property. It is an amazing value for a true Roman experience.
