This hotel is a little gem on the shore of lake como. Our rooms were very comfortable. A/C worked splendidly. The bedding was luxurious and beds were very comfortable. The reception was extremely welcoming. There was one waiter at dinner that was quite charming and funny, i wish I had gotten his name. The menu was large, and food was delicious. The location was away from much activity, but lovely gardens and easy beach access. A classic. And lots of parking.

Ever grateful that we discovered this hotel a few years ago, and we have returned time and time again since then.This warm family-run hotel is completely unique in its simplicity and comfort, and the service is deliciously professional and personal in perfect balance. AND we got our favorite room where we slept wonderfully with a view to Lake Como in thunderstorms every night<3 The restaurant has a good reputation and is popular, with delicious homemade flavors. The tiramisu and the panna cotta are recommended for dessert. The breakfast is of course also very nice with eggs, cheeses, pastries and so on. Hotel Sole has also got a new accessory: an outdoor pool, where we enjoyed ourselves despite the somewhat cold water.

Family-run hotel in a top location directly on the lake. The restaurant serves excellent fish dishes. Since the kitchen was already closed when we arrived, they reserved us a table in a nearby pizzeria.

Great family run business and can’t recommended the hotel enough. We had a horrendous day getting from Siena to Como as a result of the elections and due to busier than usual transport and we had to bus hop the whole way north and arrived in Como at 11.30 which was too late to get any taxis or boats. Taxi drivers were charging €200 from Como to Mennagio so we decided to overnight in Como instead in a €100 a night hotel. When we arrived at Hotel Sole the owner of the hotel offered to halve the bill for the night we missed and gave us complimentary drinks and upgraded our room to the lake view on the top floor. The family could have just kept to the booking but went way overboard to accommodate us. We greatly appreciated the many gestures of good will and thank the family for the generosity and kindness. Great people and lovely place on the lake.
