Great location, 10 minute walk from boat station/centre. Lido is a great, quiet and friendly area to be in. Villa was just as pictured and Sven the host was very welcoming and accommodating. Would stay again!

the facility was modern and we could have enjoyed the common living room and garden. There are only few groups of guests and you can enjoy very relaxing stay. I also booked Svenicetour(the private tour by the owner of the hotel). You can ask him whatever tour you would like to have. After having sightseeing in Venice main island, Lido is a definitely a lovely place to have peaceful days. I would love to stay one more week here😌

Absolutely everything! What a gem. I travel a lot, both privately and professionally, and this is definitely one of the better places I every stayed in. Value for money is excellent. Very nice fully renovate building, offering all comfort you look for when making a trip. Specious bright rooms, very comfortable beds, very nice warm shower, possibility to change the temperature of your room, and nice breakfast. The host is amazing, makes you feel very welcome and takes his time to accommodate you. Very knowledgeable about Venice and its history. Gave me very nice tips and tricks. Also nice to speak German, Sven seems to speak quite a few languages. Thanks for the great experience. Highly recommendable.

Excellent location in walking distance from boat stop, centre of Lido with bars/shops/restaurants and beach. Very clean and fully refurbished b&b. Bed was very comfortable and great shower. Host was very welcoming and served a very nice breakfast. Also the garden is a plus. Excellent value for money and would most definitely stay again.

Our stay at Villa Contarini B&B has been wonderful. The place is in a great location to visit the Lido and the Venice Islands, outside the confusion and the hustle of the main part of Venice. The atmosphere at this B&B is relaxed and you feel really like home. The best thing has been the friendliness of the host Sven (and its sweet cat!). We had interesting conversations in the morning at breakfast, and he gave us many information and notions about the Lido and the surrounding area. I definitely recommend this stay!

Since the 19th Century Lido di Venezia has been a popular resort for the happy few. Villa Contarini is giving you the opportunity to become part of that group. We are not the first B&B on Lido di Venezia, but we are the one with endless possibilities. Should you choose to stay at Villa Contarini you will not be disappointed. The completely renovated Villa meets all the demands of the 21st century. However still captures the luxurious look and feel from first half of the 20th century. Every luxurious bedroom is equipped with its own bathroom. The house and garden provide you with the opportunity to relax and leave the hussle and bussle of a day trip to Venice behind you. Within walking distance of the Villa you will find everything that Lido is famous for, from the film festival to the beach and promenade. Its location makes the Villa unique as a stand alone vacation on Lido di Venezia or as a place to stay during your city trip to Venice.
After my studies in art history at Leuven University I got involved in politics .For couple of years I worked in the highest office in Belgian politics. But I wanted something different . After I walked from Brussels to Santiago de Compostela I stayed in Spain for a couple of years . After that I ended up in Venice. My love for the art and history where met at every corner in this city . Slowly but surely a dream was forming , I wanted to share this beautiful city with the world. As the owner I will provide you to the best of my ability with everything you need to know about Venice and Lido. Let my house be your home during your stay in the most unique city in the world.
Lido is an island that makes together with Pellestrina the boundry of the Venetian Laguna. Being 10 km long but maximum 500 meters width it is a one part in front of The Adriatic sea and the other part is being touched by the Venetian Laguna. Still now you can find nice high level sand beaches all around the island. It is the island that land his name to many beach clubs and facilities simply because it was the very first place in the world where the public beach was opened. This attracted a rich population which still can be seen in the typical Liberty-style architecture of the 1920s. It is also here that the oldest and famous film festival of Venice takes place every year at the beginning of September. The island has been divided in 3 villages: Lido Center, Malamocco and Alberoni. Lido Center being the typical high level small touristic center while Alberoni is more quiet residential fishing village. Malamocco however is the birth place of the Venetian Republic and was until 10th century the political, administrative and economical center of the Venetian Republic. It is now transformed into a very small but beautiful and authentic Venetian village surrounded by the canal.
