Nice property with a pretty marina. Lido was nearby and easy to walk to as well as a frequent shuttle. The pool area is huge and very nice.

Where do I begin???? My husband and I are visiting Italy for one month. We stayed in Metaponto, in one of the apartments managed by the owner and chef of Blumen Bad Beach Sea Food Restaurant in Metaponto, an obscure town, with one of the most beautiful sandy beaches in Basilicata. The apartment is very spacious, bed extremely comfortable and no more than a 4 minute walk to the beach. The real surprise and delight however was the spectacular food prepared by Chef Andrea at his restaurant (Bad Blumen Beach) situated directly on the beach. How customer service is unlike anything we have experienced. There is nothing he will not do to accommodate you. When it comes to food, you have not tasted exquisite and fine Italian cuisine until you eat at this place. What a discovery we made!!!! Chef Andrea is self effacing, non assuming and highly creative. His signature dishes such as his homemade gnocchi with shrimp sauce, shrimp raviolis, squid gratinée not to mention his homemade fig jam and mascarpone tarte (my favorite) are all outstanding. By the way, did I mention how amazing the food is? Lol. Despite the excellent reviews I read, they do not do this restaurant justice. Would love to have his cuisine in Canada but looks like we’ll have to return to Blumen Bad Beach next year. Try Chef Andrea’s food… impossible not to be won over. Thank you Chef Andrea and Filippo for your kindness and for going out of your way over and over again to make our stay memorable. Truly amazing people, truly exquisite food !!!!
