The outside terrace is fabulous with incredible views down towards Kingston. Breakfast is cooked on site by the housekeeper - we stayed three nights and had three different traditional Jamaican breakfasts. All superb.
United KingdomI would highly recommend Barbecue Heritage cottage. The view from the porch is stunning, overlooking the blue mountains, down to Kingston and the sea. The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped. The breakfasts were delicious and every day we were able to taste a different local dish. Our hosts looked after us very well, Basil was always available and our driver Desmond was really helpful and suggested some great places to visit, including restaurants in Irish town and some lovely walks near the cottage.,

The garden is absolutely beautiful and worth getting there early to explore and walk to the army camp where more incredible views across the mountains and Kingston await. The property is authentic 1800 cabin and therefore has not been changed which is charming and maintains the history. A real gem. The staff are charming and Jamaican breakfast was made for us which was delicious and using authentic ingredients. Overall experience is restful and quiet.
