During our stay in the camp an intense sandstorm lead to an evacuation of the camp. The hosts were extremely friendly and harboured us in a private room in their house. They cooked a free dinner for us and did everything they could do for their guests in this special situation. The camp was extremely destroyed after this storm and we are crossing fingers for the guys, so that they can reopen it very soon. The beduin experience in the camp is great- we liked best the tea at the fire and the food.

We absolutely love this camp. It is simple and gives you an authentic experience. The welcome you get from Hussein is heartwarming, the staff are very helpful, place is clean and food is great. The rocks around and the sand dunes in the back make for a great and safe spot for families with younger children.

Unique property right next to Little Petra. Attentive and kind staff. Lovely little tent cabins that are comfortable and have electricity Beautiful majilis style tent with an open fire Would come back again Being in nature while having comforts is great

Wonderful natural location very close to Little Petra, good meals, nice tents, nice comoon hall/restaurant in bedouin style, nice for relax, eat and chat around the central firepalce.

The hosts were wonderful and I enjoyed meeting the other guests

The hospitality and authentic experience as well as the honest and helpful dealing.

The camp was great. It looks like you are stationed on Mars. They were very good with communication before and during the stay. I like that they had someone to pick you up from Petra (for a fee) which made it easier for me since I was traveling alone. The hosts were great and tried to provide a great community atmosphere. I really enjoyed sitting in the tent and meeting other people and learning about their culture. The food was also really good...even for vegetarians.

Friendly staff, great and silent location, good beduin dinner.

It's so wonderful to know that the local Ammarin tribe own and operate the site. The staff are amazing and truly care about the land, using sustainable practices and extending warm hospitality at every opportunity. The cabins are basic but fit for purpose and the 'majlis' canteen area is comfy and cosy. The food and available portions: incredible. The showers: not warm! But they were still working on rigging up the solar power. Access to Little Petra is so easy. You can just stroll there. I highly recommend this place to anyone, unless you really can't survive without WiFi or other creature comforts for a short while. But do yourself a favour and just hang out with the Bedouin guys there. You'll be inspired.

Hussein was a great host, we talked a lot with him, he welcomed us a great tea and after the dinner we got a nice cafe (he roasted the cafe been localy). The dinner was great, jordan flavor 🙂
