Czech RepublicReally enjoyed our two nights stay at Esperanza Petra. Staff was super friendly and gave us great advise on how to spend the 1,5 days at Petra. We followed their advise and think they really were spot on! The room was spacious, super clean and comfy. Breakfast was nice, lot of choices, fresh omelets and pancakes upon request Beautiful view from the upper floor. The area is super close to the entrance of Petra and also bus station. Through therefor it's also situated in a very touristy neighborhood (restaurants/shops nearby cater more for tourists than locals)
NetherlandsWhat an amazing hotel, treated like family by the owner Rahat from the moment we arrived. The view from outside of the hotel and the terrace was breathtaking. An ideal hotel for the entrance to Petra which is a 10 minute walk from directly outside it. One night we needed a taxi to downtown but couldn't find one so Rahad took us without taking any money - he is one of the nicest guys i have ever met. Terrace dinner and breakfast was lovely too. Just needs fresh tea and coffee. Tip - from the Jett Bus / Petra Visitor center only pay 1 JOD to the hotel and no more.

GermanyWe were travelling with four and stayed in Esperanza hotel for 2 nights. It was absolutely a great stay. I would strongly recommend everybody stay in this hotel. Very clean rooms, hotels smells nice from the moment you enter it. Hotel is situated 2min walk from the entrance to Petra. This makes it easy to make your visit to Petra. Hotel has a roof terrace with mesmerizing view on the mountains. You can enjoy it while eating breakfast or having dinner after long walk in Petra. The sunset on the rooftop is an absolute “must” when you stay here. Last but not least, Rae’s the owner of the hotel gave us a lot of handy tips on how to visit Petra. Equipped with all the do’s and don’ts we avoided many tourists mistakes and saw more than we would normally do. If you search for hotel in Petra Esperanza is the place to stay!
