Hotel 1899 is a lovely serene environment. An oasis in the most crowded city in the world. And they have a lovely tea tasting experience.
United States of AmericaThis is a charming hotel with very helpful staff, a location near a subway, good nearby restaurants (especially tempura j place) and a delicious and varied breakfast. They offer a special tea service that is unique. While our room was small, it was well-plannedand comfortable. Next time we will upgrade but regardless this will be our first choice when in Tokyo.
United States of AmericaThis is a newly renovated hotel with a chanoyu theme. Quite classy. The breakfast options are excellent. Rooms are spacious and well-appointed, though it would be nice to have a comfortable chair or two with a back. Matcha and tea are available for free upon request in the lobby.
