Formerly a classic Japanese-style house built more than 100 years ago, Guest House Pongyi features affordable accommodations. JR Kanazawa Train Station and Hokutetsu-Kanazawa Train Station are a 5-minute walk away. The dormitory-style rooms feature tatami (woven-staw) floors. Bathrooms and toilets are shared. Female dormitory rooms have air conditioning, while mixed dormitory rooms have a fan for the summer and a heater for the winter. Guests can use the shared kitchen which features a microwave, a fridge, and kitchenware. A washing machine can be used for an extra cost. Pongyi Guest House is a 45-minute drive from Komatsu Airport, and a 10-minute walk from Oumicho Market. Kanazawa Castle Park is a 40-minute walk away. No meals are served.

It is a house that is a renovated 100-year old kimono shop with 'Kura'(Japanese-style warehouse) along the Kuratsuki canal. It is a 7-minute walk from JR Kanazawa Station and various sightseeing spots are easily accessible. < A cozy guesthouse > We are a small guesthouse with the maximum 10 persons capacity, and we have no facilities like hotel. However, you can enjoy Japanese life style and culture experience. We would be happy to make yourself comfortable at Pongyi as it is your own home in . < Save Kids in Asia > Since Pongyi was opened, we have continued support poor children in Asia by donating 100yen from each guest's accommodation expense and the mnost of Pongyi's profits through NPO.
I have lived in Brazil and Paraguay in South America before. My personality from other people is said to be relaxed and continental. I had a Buddhist monk experience in Myanmar although it was a short period. It was a very valuable experience for me, so I made the word of monk in Myanmarese 'Pongyi' the name of this guesthouse. Pongyi helps children in Asia. At Pongyi we take pleasure if our guests can return home well rested and treasure their stay at our guesthouse. I look forward to seeing you all in Kanazawa.
