Location was prime. It was walking distance to Kiyomizudera and the Night Market. There was a train station close as well. I loved the amenities by front desk. All the facial products were great!. Coffee, tea, and water being available all day in the lobby was a nice touch I would like to see in more hotels.

It was our first time visiting Kyoto and we were very much looking forward to experiencing the ancient atmoshpere of Kyoto's temples and gardens, while also staying in a location that would make it easy to get around town. This hotel delivered with an excellent location on the near side of Eastern Kyoto, offering walking access to several temples and other sights on the east side, while also allowing for a five minute stroll across the bridge to downtown. The staff at the hotel was very friendly and helped us make restaurant reservations and other bookings while in town. The japanese-style room was clean, with a nice shower/bath that was much appreciated after long days of sightseeing on foot. We especially enjoyed being near the Gion neighborhood, which quieted down at night and made for a magical atmosphere while strolling home for dinner.

We loved the style of the hotel, its location was excellent being located in Gion, but also close to trains/ buses making getting about very straight forward. Also after a long day of sightseeing the public bath was excellent for soaking tired limbs. Finally breakfast, which we really enjoyed , and the staff who we found to be friendly and helpful

Location is the best. The street out front, while small and narrow, was very busy and the style of driving in Kyoto is to drive very fast to intimidate the tourists. The rooms were very small. Better to get the rooms with two beds. The staff was great as was breakfast. My sons enjoyed the hot bath in the basement.

The bed was huge and super comfortable, it nice to have a small sofa as well which was a first during our stay in Japan. Staff were friendly and helpful, location was great for subway access and sightseeing spots.

Hotel was so pretty and we loved the tatami floor in the room. It was also really clean; the cleanest out of the 4 hotels I stayed in this trip. There is a smoking room inside the hotel premises so we didn’t need to brave the cold. We also really liked their idea of ‘taking what you need’ with the hotel amenities, it was on a table near the reception so you just help yourself with what you needed.
