This is one of our favorites. It has a little European feel to the rooms and facilities, as a whole. The onsen is spectacular. The rotunburo looks over a stream and a beautiful hillside. The food was traditional mountain food done in a very classy way and it was excellent.

Comfortable hotel at the middle of the Hakkoda Mountains. Breakfast & dinner provided are great, and the outdoor hot spring has great view to the nature. My room balcony is directly facing the river which is awesome. It's suggested to plan ahead of time to leave & come back to the hotel as it takes some time to go up & down the hill.

Great hotel with beautiful views. On a clear night you can see a lot of stars. The hotel is only 6 mins away from Hakkoda Ropeway which is a must visit! You can also go to Oirase Gorge within 40 mins drive. The daily Breakfast and Dinner offered from the hotel is out of the world! All the staff were super friendly and courteous! Onsen was very clean & amazing.

Love the outdoor hot spring, wonderful scenery of snow and serenity. The room price includes breakfast and wonderful dinner. Spacious room too. Love the wooden structure of the hotel

The location is excellent in mountainous countryside. Close to Hakodate ropeway. The onsen is excellent with a small gym and free use of massage chairs. The highlight was the dinner. Many courses of excellent Japanese cuisine.

Everyone was very helpful but we probably could have found out more about the services such as buses and backcountry ski touring , transport to other Onsen etc. to take full advantage of the services and may then have felt the cost more appropriate.

Located at the foot of Mount Hakkoda, Hotel Jogakura provides mountain resort accommodations boasting natural hot spring baths, saunas and gorgeous Japanese meals. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, and ski equipment rentals can be arranged.
