Juraku Stay Niigata is a convenient short walk from the train station. The room was larger than expected. The breakfast buffet was phenomenal and offered a wide selection of both Japanese and western cuisine. Despite being the cheapest of all the hotels I stayed at during my 2 weeks in Japan, it was the one which most surpassed my expectations.

Just a 4-minute walk from JR Niigata Station, Juraku Stay Niigata is a business hotel. Free WiFi is available throughout the entire property. Featuring a view of the city, all air-conditioned rooms are carpeted. A flat-screen TV with pay-per-view channels, clothes rack, refrigerator, electric kettle, desk and trouser press are equipped in all rooms. A hairdryer, towels, free toiletries and slippers are provided for the comfort of guests in the private bathroom. There is a 24-hour front desk that offers luggage storage and ironing service free of charge. Dry cleaning and fax/photocopying services can be arranged for an extra cost. A restaurant and a drinks vending machine is available on site. Various restaurants and shops are located within 10-minutes from the hotel. Toki Messe, a multi-purpose convention center, is an 11-minute drive away from the property, while the Niigata Prefectural Civic Center located within Hakusan Park is a 25-minute train ride away. It takes about 35 minutes on the Niigata-Airport Limousine bus to reach Niigata Airport.
