Staff were so friendly and could speak english. Comfortable dorm room with lots of space and nice facilities. Great location too!
AustraliaThis place is absolutely perfect. I stayed three days, I did not want to leave. Nice room, free wifi, security cameras in all hallways, huge comfy lounge with flatscreen tv and enormous dining table with microwave and fridge and free utensils and plates, the full package. You have laundry and elevator and door pin codes. Khaosan is like a five star hotel mansion, at a huge bargain! The staff are very friendly and helpful and there is a very extraordinary hospitable atmosphere and all the preceding makes Khaosan like a home away from home. I am only staying here when I visit Kyoto. Hopefully soon.

The hostel is located just 5 minutes from a train station (at the end of the Hankyu line from Osaka Umeda). Furthermore it's located very close to a large shopping street, many restaurants and supermarkets, and the Geisha district is also close by.

Both private and dormitory rooms are available at . All are non-smoking, air-conditioned and have shared bathrooms.
Kawaramachi and Takashimaya Department Store are a 2-minute walk from the hostel. Yasaka Shrine is a 15-minute walk.
A flat-screen TV with DVD player is provided in the common area. Microwaves, electric kettles and other equipment is available in the free-use kitchen.
