“The house is an older Japanese building. It was pretty cool to stay in a traditional style home. The owner was really lovely and her dog was very sweet. It felt very much like staying with family. We just relaxed and chatted(in Japanese). The matcha after breakfast was a nice experience. It was good for a resting point so the drive to Hakodate didn't seem so far. And she gave us a great recommendation for a michi no eki to stop at!”

“This was amazing. If you want to experience real Japan then sleep here. And getting the real japanese dinner/breakfast and matcha ritual is mandatory. You will have large and very good homemade japanese meal even with all the information about it. Very nice stay on Hokkaido and not far from the highway. Mrs. Tomiko cares for guests really well and even if she doesn't speak english, she is prepared with her tablet and google translator. And since she is doing this guest house so she can present japanese culture to foreigners, I really have to recommend this great and interesting experience. This was real surprise on our trip because we kinda found it on booking.com by accident with the last room left few moments before we almost decided to sleep in the car :) I hope that next time I am visiting Hokkaido, I will have a chance to stay here again!”
