You can enjoy a Japanese traditional house experience.

Hikoaki Japan

Authentic atmosphere, very traditional. Building your slept in 300 years old. Friendly staff, so kind. I will stay longer next time to make pottery. Go here if you want to learn or to make pottery.

Frank United States of America

This place is magical, can't say enough about the folks who own it and the people who work there. Just lovely, an amazing experience that I can't wait to share with the rest of my family and my friends. Will definitely go back. The house is beautiful, very traditional. The pottery studio is fantastic, you do not have to have any experience to come here, they will guide you through the whole process. If pottery is something you want to try, this place should be on your list. The owners also arranged for all guests to do a Sumi painting class for free, and a gathering hosting a prominent local artist. Just keep in mind, this is a walking/biking town, be ready to get some exercise!

Elisa United States of America

Nice traditional house with very kind people very close to Machiko city, Ideal for a family immersion into the world of pottery with possibility to access to 3 hours pottery lessons at the same place, All family appreciated a lot this experience.

Alain Japan

A very acient big house to live in. It will be very happy if live in there in a group. The house is very nice traditional Japanese house with a well kitchen & hot water bathroom.

Kai Hong Kong

Very interesting place in interesting village. Like pottery; you probably know about it. Like me, just looking for a random place to stay somewhere off the track: it’s random and interesting. Eat at the burger place. Awesome.

Mike United Kingdom

I loved this accommodation it was traditional, so lay back, very country, yet so Japanese if you like ryokan style. It is probably one of my favourite accommodations in Japan and I visit regularly l!

Kim Australia

Well located just a short walk to pottery shops. Excellent pottery class with 2 members of staff teaching us, who both spoke excellent English. Near a lovely little cafe and shop called Starnet which serves delicious wholesome fresh food and salads. The house is a lovely old traditional wooden house. We were there in February and it did get a bit cold but heaters were provided which solved the problem.

Holly United Kingdom

The room had a kotatsu which made it warm and comfy. You can also use one of their bicycles to ride into town and go to the museums and shops. The pottery workshop was also a great experience! Thank you, Andy!
