United States of AmericaThis was truly one of the best stays we've had, ever, and it is because the staff went ABOVE and BEYOND to make our stay wonderful. The hotel itself is also fantastic — perfect location ~10 mins walk from Nishiki Market, extremely comfy beds, beautiful and high tech bathrooms, etc. But it is the kind and helpful staff that really blew us away. They took so much time and effort to help us with making food reservations (which in Japan can be difficult because you need to call/speak Japanese). They did this even for a meal we wanted to have in Kobe (they called multiple places I suggested, and when they couldn't secure us a spot, they found another FABULOUS restaurant and booked us there). Top notch hospitality and kindness. Thank you, thank you, thank you! A special thank you to Ryo who called 5 sushi places to finally secure us a last minute dinner spot.

I can’t believe hotel muso offers so much given its amazing price point, including free breakfast and coffee/tea delivered to your doorstep every morning. 10/10 would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Kyoto. nice central location to get to all the main attractions too.
United States of AmericaFabulous room for a family. Very comfortable. Drinks every day were provided gratis! Perfect location for a skip to Ponto Cho and Gion/ southern Higashiyama sights. Train station is a 20-25 min trek so easily reachable to further sights. And 7-11 is right downstairs for all the delicacies you need at any hour!

MexicoThis is a lovely hotel in central Kyoto, near the Gojo station - away from the industrial zone of Kyoto station but within walking distance to several amazing temples such as Kiyomizu Dera. The room was large and equipped with nearly everything you could need, and everything is modern and high-tech, even in Japanese standards. Although we did not make breakfast reservation, a light breakfast (baguette and a drink of choice) were served to our room every morning. The reception staff (especially Yu and Ryo) were very friendly and helpful and spoke better English than in most places we've stayed at in Tokyo.

United States of AmericaHotel Muso was a very clean and wonderful stay for our trip to Kyoto. The room was very nice and had a beautiful bathroom and shower room. Yuseke at the front desk made our stay unforgettable by giving us lots of recommendations for the area in Kyoto and Osaka. Everyone at the front desk was extremely nice. If you didn’t want your room cleaned you can opt out and they will leave fresh towels, room clothes and toiletries for you. We highly recommend Hotel Muso. The price was very reasonable and we walked to many places in Kyoto or took a cab. The bed was a double bed which was as advertised.
