“I stayed in a traditional Japanese room with an attached bath and toilette. The hotel looked new and very clean. Despite the high season (end of June), it was reasonably priced and good value for money. Breakfast and dinner can be included but you need book at least one day in advance, and there are only a few restaurants in the area. Apparently, there is no English speaking staff, so suggest to keep your Google translate handy.”

“Great location, clean and quiet. We stayed here just the one night on our way back up from a Hakodate trip. Well worth the stop. The town is very quaint and relaxing. There are a number of great restaurants and little shops in the centre of town (a 5 min walk from this ryokan), as well as a beautiful national park area. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The toilets are separate from the room, but very well maintained. Nice big shower and bathtub in the room! I'd definitely stop in here again if we were ever passing through a second time.”
