This onsen was nothing short of magical. The rooms were very traditional and incredibly charming. The food was exquisite and plentiful. We were able to completely immerse ourselves into Japanese tradition from the setting, the robes we got to wear, the sandals, and the private onsen available to be reserved. It was incredibly beautiful and we couldn't recommend it more.

With a history of 1300 years and a Guinness World Record holder for the oldest hot spring ryokan in the world, built in year 705, Nishiyama Onsen Keiunkan is a 5-star ryokan in Hayakawa. Set in a valley surrounded by nature, this ryokan offers natural free-flowing hot spring bath water throughout all rooms including the showers. Guests can enjoy Koshu beef at the traditional Japanese ryokan. Free WiFi is available throughout the accommodations. Shuttle service is available from Minobu Station upon prior reservation.
