The staff was helpful and friendly. The location is fantastic and close to several bus stops/a subway station while also being walking distance to places like Pontocho Alley. The place was clean and a good base for sightseeing.

Located perfectly right by the river, close to great restaurants and izakayas. The room was so specious (especially after coming from Tokyo), very clean, great bath. They offered to send our luggage to the next hotel which was comfortable. The staff was so nice, they didn’t speak much english but did their best to help!

I love this hotel. It is modern, clean and well-run, and situated right next to the river. Our room (twin bed with view bath) was excellent and had both a sunken bath and a shower. There was also a separate toilet nearer to the door which was handy. Breakfast (included in my rate) was excellent! There was a large variety of Japanese dishes and a smaller selection of Western-type dishes. They refilled the dishes constantly so that nothing ran out. And then there was the onsen, which I always look forward to. It was small but pleasant. Robes and slippers are provided in the room. We will be staying there again in October.
