Everything! This hotel was exceptional. The rooms and bathrooms were a comfortable size, extremely clean and the location was great. Their breakfast options were delicious as well. Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Kyoto.
United States of AmericaAwesome Pontocho/Gion location near Keihan and Hankyu train stations. Beautiful new hotel with good-sized rooms and comfortable beds. Great value for the price (we booked early and got a good rate.) Lounge with free drinks available from 2PM to 9:30. The rooftop bar and restaurant looked nice with a great view of Kyoto but we didn’t try it as there are so many other places around. The front desk was unable to secure me a taxi reservation but I easily got a cab at the corner of Shijo across the road from the Hankyu station as there is a taxi pickup location there.

AustraliaBeautiful property. The room was the largest room we stayed in while visiting Japan, modern and well executed comforts and amenities. The western style bed was a true large mattress (not two separate mattresses) and was super comfy. The location is perfectly situated by the best streets for walking, shopping and dining. The lounge and bar have amazing views and friendly service. I wish I stayed here longer while in Kyoto.
