The hotel staff was very friendly and professional, especially the man who did my check-in. We were talking about playing piano, as I come from Poland and he also likes to play Chopin. The breakfast team was also very professional and friendly. Delicious japanese breakfast! Beautiful decorations of the lobby.

The hotel was peaceful and at a good location. Everything was very clean and the staff were extremely helpful. The layout of the room was very nice and the shelf was a good place to put your daily things. It had the traditional Japanese layout for a bathroom so you could easily shower while someone was using the toilet. The hairdryer worked well as well. I will be visiting again!

Beautiful hotel, close to bus stations to travel further afield. Pleasant walk across the river to Gion district. Room was traditional (shoes have to be taken off in room entranceway) and beautiful. Bed comfortable.

The room was beautifully presented with a very Japanese theme. It was spacious and comfortable. Close to subway one stop from Kyoto and there are many restaurants within walking distance.

During our trip through Japan where we stayed at different hotels, this was our favorite hotel. The rooms here were by far the largest and were very nicely decorated. The bathroom was also very large. everything else was very clean. Our hotel room had a view over Kyoto, centrally with a view of the Kyoto Tower, which is very beautifully illuminated in the evening. In addition, we had a quiet room and heard no outside noises. The breakfast was also good, a buffet with a small variation every day. The staff was also very friendly. A nice addition to the hotel was the bookcase at reception where you could borrow a manga to read. During our stay the hotel also arranged a wine tasting, which we also really enjoyed.
