Very beautiful beaches, still pretty wild everywhere. No much nightlife but perfect to relax and enjoy the beach. Renting a scooter is highly recommended to get the most of the island and explore different places and beaches at your own pace. We went to Lonely Beach, Coconut Beach and Long Beach and really lovely the 3 of them. We stayed in the fishing village in the North-East, really authentic.

The most interesting and genuine fishing village on the island, Preksway, is well worth a wander around. Some nice beaches (e.g. Pagoda Beach) but unfortunately I was a bit underwhelmed by the visual side of the island. Large areas have been flattened out to build hotels and casinos on for the Chinese tourists, so not very pleasing to the eye. Beautiful island with stunning beaches white sand and clear waters. You had to use the boats to get around as the road infrastructure is not great ! The resort's are a bit shabby, but to be expected, as this is a third world country in many ways. Lovely island great beach great hotel . If new to Cambodia I will recommend to stay for a couple of days in Siem Reap and then fly to the town nearest Koh Rong for few nights . Otherwise it is very far to drive .

Tero and his team was super sympathic and helpful. We were delayed for one day cause we didnt reach a ferry the first day, on wich we should arrive at beachwalk. So we had to stay one night in Sihanoukville. The Hotel acted super costumer friendly and didnt charge this night. Its the best place were you could stay on koh rong! We extended our stay for 3 nights!

There is a really good atmosphere, with fun bars and restaurants very close by. The staff are very friendly and the room was immaculately clean. The air con worked well as long as there was electricity. It is worth bringing torches or lanterns for the room because the electricity on the island cuts out very frequently.
