The Westin Seoul Hotel truly surprised me! I knew to expect a lovely hotel considering the Westin name. However the Westin Seoul far exceeded our expectation. It is truly a 5 star property. The historic hotel is stunning! Very clean, modern and elegant. The best part was the staff. All of them! The staff was so gracious, extremely helpful, worked very hard to assure our satisfaction. The breakfast buffet offered multi-culture options. The happy hour might as well be dinner since the buffet was large and offered so many options with nice liqours and wines with a beautiful view of Seoul skyline. Highly recommend and will stay there again.

A vibrant and interesting city with an endless list of things to do! Lots of inexpensive eateries with local and international food, lots of budget food choices at convenience stores, and lots and lots of fun shops or spots like photobooths to take fun group (or single!) pictures. Plus a wealth of history and culture!

Seoul is an amazing city that mixes the old (north of the Han) and the new (south of the Han).
We managed to visit a lot of places of our interest including museums, palaces, shopping malls and even Lotte World (amusement park).
There is so much to see and do. Taxis (based on 4 travelling) are cheap and a good option to go from places that are far from each other - don't underestimate the time it takes to get from one place to another.
Probably the only consideration is that there are a lot of stairs (including underpasses) and not always lifts so this may affect people with reduced mobility.

We did a quick trip from Japan to Seoul (3 full days) since it was only a 2 1/2 hour flight, why not :) Wish we had more time in Seoul to explore so plan your days according to area/location. Most "to do" are scattered all over Seoul so you will need at least a day in each area/location like Myeondong, Itaewon, Bukchon, Cheonggyecheon to name a few. Each area will take you about 30 minutes by train depending on your home base hotel. Wear comfortable shoes and clothes....Get ready for walking, steps, trains and maybe taxis. For the 3 days we visited the Lotte World area, Coex Aquarium, Starfield Coex Library, N. Seoul Tower, Banpo bridge at night for the rainbow water lights, Gwangjang market for local Korean food stalls, Myeondong shopping district, Gyeongbokgung Palace, and some underground train shopping areas. Food experience anywhere but our favorite was Lotte Department store food level in Myeondong. You MUST visit Olive Young for Korean skin care. WISH we had MORE time but will return.

I thought it might be difficult because I don't speak Korean, but everyone I met was kind and helpful, I they did not speak English they went out of their way to find me someone who did. I saw a lot and really enjoyed the trips I went on and the street markets and just the differences from home. I found the found fresh and healthy.

Wasn’t expecting to feel so relaxed in a city of 10 and a half million people but felt very relaxed
, the transport system is great and cost to eat out is good. I am definitely going back and plan visiting more cities as spent majority of time in Seoul with a couple of days in Busan. Only negatives are the smell of sewage at times and impossible to buy good flat white coffee.
Great location! Jongno 3-ga subway just couple of minutes walk, close to Palaces, Gwanghwamun. Several convenient stores around. At night with Sub Zero temperature, we walked to roadside food tent for beer and food, got fried chicken or other street food to go. Rooms are spacious, clean and well furnished with microwave, washing machine, etc. We stayed a total 11 nights, at 3 different suites since we made Seoul as our base while travelling South Korea, bringing only the luggage we needed for each destination, leaving the rest with the hotel.
1. Location - perfect if you want to stay near Myeongdong. Subway station is super near. Our room had a view of the Namsan Tower. Airport bus stop is near the hotel (reasearch in advance for cost and schedule). Shopping and street foot night market is a few meters away.
2. Value for money - hotel rate was unbeatable but book early!
3. Bedroom size was good for 3 people. One of the few hotels in this price range that offer a proper bath and shower (western style). Beds and pillows were comfortable enough. Daily water bottles were provided.
I loved my stayed in Koreana Hotel. The room was so beautiful and spacious. I know some ppl complained about the dim lights but it was fine with me. The room was so clean and it had the nice warm toilet. There is microwave upstairs. There is a convenience store right next door. The train station is 5 minutes walking. And you can book a bus to the airport from the front desk. Everyone was super friendly and they all spoke English which I was grateful because I barely speak Hangul. Anyway, I loved my stay here 😊.
Perfect place to stay if you're visiting Seoul, the room was a good size, comfortable and even had a bath. the staff couldn't be more helpful.
It's situated 5 minutes walk to myeongdong shopping streets, it was very easy to go around the city from the hotel.
We liked this place so much, that we ended up canceling another place we had in the city to stay here.
They even offer a cheap hold luggage service, which allowed us to travel light when going to other town.
Would definitely stay here again.
The staff were really nice and the hotel lobby was gorgeous. All the staff I interacted with spoke English to me even though I was prepared to speak in Korean. I also really loved that the key cards were a cute wooden card design. Also, the hotel having an airport bus was really convenient for arriving and departing. There; 's also a Popeyes right across the street less than a minute walk away. I also really liked the bath exfoliator they gave in the shower instead of wash cloths.
The room is comfortable, clean, and complete. I love that this is a Japanese style hotel with separate toilet and bath. The toilet has bidet. Even the toilet in the reception area also has bidet. Pajama is also provided and also humidifier. Amenities are excellent. Location is superb, easy to get bus, taxi, very close to Namdaemun market and within walking distance to Myeongdong (15-20 minutes). Subway is around 10 minutes walk. The staff speaks good English, Japanese, and Korean.
The hotel is in a good location, literally 5 mins walk from DDP. Not too far from main tourist sites (Myeongdong, Hongdae etc). The area itself also has a lot to do and see near DDP like shops, cafes etc. The staff helped us with our bags at check-in and we had to modify our booking to leave early, which they helped us with. If you're only concerned about having a no frills place to stay/short stay (we only stayed 2 nights) and you're not fussy, then it's okay.
Situated right above the Gongdeok station which is on the airport train line, the staff were lovely, helpful and could communicate in English very well. The room was so spacious with a very large bathroom with a separate bath and overhead shower. I was able to store my large luggage at the hotel for 3 days as I had two reservations planned on either side of a weekend in Busan. It was my best hotel stay in Korea.
The location was good there was alot of restaurants surrounding the hotel and my friends and I are big into food! The hotel itself was pretty spacious and the bathroom set up was nice! I had booked two rooms one for my three friends and one for myself and my partner. The bed was cozy and comfortable for me and we all would book here again if we ever get the Chance to go to South Korea again!
Very close to hongdae (6 min walk), but away from the traffic. Nice and quiet. It feels like you are at home because it is an apartment, but the price isn’t too expensive.
It’s comparable to staying at a hotel, but more comfortable. I did laundry there and there was even laundry detergent and a drying rack.
If I could live there long term, I would.
Good breakfast, cozy room, close to the exhibition center.
Turn right out of the hotel to eat is more expensive, turn left and walk 100 meters to eat is cheaper.
Turn left out of the hotel and walk about 150 meters, there is a local Korean supermarket.
Take the airport bus 6703, get off at the POSCO building station and walk to the hotel.
Great location. Close to subway Station and it's right at the end of myeongdong shopping street. super convenient for a person whom doesn't like to waste unnecessary steps like me.
my room came with full windows overlooking the city street which was nice.
the bed and pillow was one of the best we had amongst all our hotel stay in South korea.
The location was just right. Local and authentic Korean eateries are just a few steps away from the hotel and the property is quiet because it's away from busy Myeongdong but not too far away that it's easy to walk to Myeongdong markets. The room was clean. We especially liked that the windows open to allow fresh air in.
Great location. Few minutes walk to Myeongdong eating and shopping streets. Very near to Myeongdong Cathedral.
We had cheap and good traditional Korean meals in the many eateries around the hotel. Airport bus in front of hotel was very handy! Taxi fares are very reasonable.....we didn't need the subways.
Loved the option to stay in a heated or air conditioned room, as I find Korean hotels to typically be too hot. I also liked the plentiful shelves for organizing my things in the room. Aside from the room, having a convenience store on the lobby level was PERFECT. Everyone should do that.
Two two house was one of our best experience in the whole of South Korea, comfy beds, clean interior, huge rooms, amazing outstanding staff and communication, unbelievable good vibes and extraordinary location for a very good price
The location is great. Comparing to other hotels at that junction, this one is the cheapest. So if you are looking for place to stay where you can easily travel aorund gangnam, this is it - value for money I would say
Location is the best attribute of this hotel. It is in the heart of Myeongdong and the airport limo bus stop is right outside the hotel.
Staff was courteous and spoke English well.
