She helped us check that the trails were open and advised on how to get there. The rooms were clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The owners of the guesthouse are not only warm, kind and accomodating, but also helped me out during my entire stay by supplying me with restaurant recommondations, bus schedules and other info. “The most friendly people I have ever met in Korea. I stayed 2 nights and I will stay more if i have the chance to travel to Namwon-남원 again. I arrived pretty late, at 830pm and 소이 (the daughter) drove me by car to a delicious restaurant for dinner, because she was worried that most restaurantes were closing soon. I was going to hike jirisan-지리산 and she made sure I was able to get there and be back on time safe (because of corona virus, some buses were cancelled or changed times). She texted me while I was hiking to know my plans. When I arrived the family was waiting for me for an amazing dinner together. We talked a lot and they made me feel part of the family. Next day, they cooked breakfast for me and when they said good bye, we exchanged contacts to meet again in the future. Warming and wonderfull staying! We will see each other again!”

The guesthouse is absolutely beautiful and located in a great area - right next to the river and a 10 minute walk from the bus station. They really go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible and even helped me plan my hike in Jirisan. I really can't recommend Mua Guesthouse highly enough.”

“Hosts of the guesthouse were very warm and nice people. When I arrived I they were kind to let me check-in early and even offered me a lunch which was delicious. One of the best chicken soup I have ever eaten. In guesthouse there are two toilets and two shower rooms which I think is good amount. The location was great with many restaurants and river nearby. It is also possible to order breakfast and I definitely recommend it since it is soooo good (noodles and rice ball). I even got a lift to train station which I was very thankful. I definitely enjoyed my stay, thank you!”

“The host, Zoe was very friendly. She spoke fluent English and we don't have any communciation problem with her. She gave us all the useful information, including bus schedule that we needed. She even drove us to the train station on our departure date. Her guesthouse was very clean and comfort. At first, we worried about the shared bathroom but it was very clean and convenient. It only took 10 mins walk to the intercity bus terminal. We will definitely stay in her guesthouse again when we come back. Take care Zoe.”

So Yi did everything to check the bus timetables to and from Jirisan Park, I had dinner and drinks with her on the both nights I stayed there... And unlike a lot of Koreans her English is very good so you can actually talk about anything and everything with her Namwon and hiking in Jirisan Park were one of the highlights of my Korean trip. I will definitely come back to Namwon and highly recommend you to stop by this town and guesthouse So Yi, until next, whenever and whereever !”
