Once called a “Paris of the Middle East,” Beirut is the Lebanese capital along the Mediterranean, flanked by the Lebanese Mountains. Severely destroyed during the Civil War, the city underwent major reconstruction and is now a vibrant place full of nightlife and shopping venues.
Beirut is often considered by many major media outlets to be one of the top cities in the world due to its cosmopolitan nature and commercial development. See it for yourself on Rue Verdun, the trendiest shopping area or the Central District, the city’s historical core, full of modern structures, dining venues and open public spaces.
Stroll down the tourists’ favorite, Hamra Street, featuring plenty of boutique shops, popular cafés and restaurants. Beirut is sometimes called the “Party Capital of the Arab World” so while you’re at it, dance the night off at the clubs at Rue Monnot.
For a bit of history mixed with upbeat nightlife, pay a visit to Achrafieh, one of the city’s oldest and most charming districts. Since Beirut has over 5,000 years of history, a visit to its National Museum and Archaeological Museum is a real treat.
Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport is only a 10-minute drive from the city center and Booking.com has a variety of hotels and apartments in Achrafieh and Hamra for your perfect Beirut stay.
Beirut is one of my favorite cities. It is a vibrant city with an amazing cultural history. Walking in downtown, with the beautiful Souk filled to the brim with budget-friendly and high-end stores, while hearing the call to prayer from the neighboring Al-amin Mosque, lets you know you are in a unique city. Its mix of modernity and history makes it so interesting to walk around and discover. It has a great restaurant scene, if you are a foodie - even vegan, there are lots of options. The French colonization impacted its architecture - mixing Arabic and french styles. You get around with Taxis, everywhere has wifi, and you can surely find someone speaking French or English to guide you. The city actually also has a great gay-scene, with bars and clubs, making it a unique city in the Middle East.

Still a favourite city of mine.
Still a favourite city of mine. It has everything you could need for a short break: beautiful beaches with waterside restaurants, a good City centre whicch provides a glimpse in the Arab world. High mountains on one direction and excellent vineyards to the south

Beirut is a must!
Beirut is a must! Lebanon is small and Beirut is a great location to plan your travel from if you are here for a short trip. If you plan a longer time here, it's worth spending more time in different regions of the country. You can make a day trip from Beirut to pretty much anywhere in Lebanon.

Crowne Plaza Hamra Beirut is a gem in the heart of the city. Whether you’re here for business or leisure, you’ll find everything you need for a memorable stay.
I highly recommend this hotel to fellow travelers. Kudos to the team for maintaining such high standards in such difficult times... 👏
We had an amazing stay at Orient Queen Homes Hotel. The room was very nice, big and clean and we just totally loved the roof terrace where we enjoyed many drinks and meals. The staff was very friendly and always ready to answer any questions we had. They also helped us with renting a car and arranged a taxi from the airport to pick us up. All in all a very positive experience and we will definitely come back here when we visit Beirut again.
The breakfast was reasonably priced and delicious! So much selection. The room was big, spotlessly clean and the bed was really comfortable. I had a great night sleep. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I stayed in other five star hotels in Beirut and this is the only one where I felt the service was 5 star. The hotel accepted credit cards which is great as many hotels in Lebanon do not because of the banking crisis.
Swiming pool is Perfect and free to hotel residents
Location is easily accessible in Hamra Area
Staff are friendly and professional
Rooms are spacious and furnished very well.
Massive window of urban life view.
Rates are the best here compared to most hotels in the area.
The administration is so perfect under supervision of Mr. MIKE. He deserves more than 5 star rating and perfect 10/10.
Health Club.
Front desk most responsive & professional.
Easy to locate off main road, & easy parking. No heavy traffic to deal with around hotel.
Great bakery right across the street from the hotel!
Non-smoking facility; much appreciated.
Convenient jump off point if heading east across the Lebanon mountains the next morning.

My third visit in beverly and sure I will do it again
Beyond 5 stars! Stayed last week at this wonderful hotel. Everything exceeded my expectations. On top they have the most wonderful staff, extremely kind and helpful. A true example of Lebanese hospitality. The spirit and culture of the management clearly reflects across all staff members. Highly recommended 👌🏻
The hotel is located in the heart of Hamra next to many restaurants and 10 minutes from the coast. The rooms are beautiful and spacious with balcony and the bedding of very good quality. The bathroom is also good. The staff is very professional and sympathetic. It was a really good stay in Beirut.
Breakfast is extremely poor
Hotel is not reliable - they tried to cheat expats with the currency devaluation and charging them ridiculous amounts for basic services. Taking advantage of the situation in lebanon to cheat foreigners and they wonder why they talk badly about lebanon ! Shame on you
The room was very comfortable.
The staff was good and very welcoming.
Best stay i have in hotel in Middle East.
I will definitely come back and stay in Sodeco Suits if i will visit Beirut
The location of the hotel is fine, this is the downtown. So, many shops or supermarkets to buy smth. In general, the room is nice , good there was a microwave, kitchenette, bath is ok.
great little hotel in the heart of Hamra, room is spacious, comfortable bed and despite being in a busy area it’s relatively quiet. Staff is amazing and helpful. I’ll come back again!
In short, i would recommend all who i know or read this review to stay at the hotel, cleanness, calmness, security, good food, service 7/24, closeness to airport and downtown.
The location close to Beirut downtown and to go for a nice walk to Raouche during the sunset. It is also close to the airport. The staff was kind and the breakfast was nice.
The location and the hotel is nice, but the cost is far too expensive .If too compare just the arabic countries I stayed in Amman similar 5 stars hotel 4 times cheaper
Cynthia at breakfast was amazing excellent service and always smiling also Ali the concierge took great care of us since day 1. Highly recommended hotel in Lebanon.
well located in the Hamra area. Rooms are big and clean and they have a kettle for making coffee or tea. The hotel offer transfer from airport for a fair price.
