“Geeat Lake View is situated very quietly at the boarder of the lake an around 6 km. from tissamaharama where you can go to bundala and yala national park. we had a geat stay with the owner Lassith who told us, besides very usful information, a lot of stories of his own life as a seaman and a volunteer after the 2004 tsunami. This made the evenings after dinner, prepared by Lassith , very interesting and we felt at home. he also showed and explained about the wildlife and birds close to the lake and surroundings. “Superlative ! A lovely place to relax right next to the lake and watch the abundant bird life. Nicely designed rooms and very comfortable. Situated near the junction it is very conveniently located for trips to Yala and other National Park, and is an ideal place to break the journey to or from Ella, Arugam Bay or the south coast. Lalith wholeheartedly goes above and beyond in caring for his guests. (He went to the the next village to buy medicine for us and then took us to the Doctor). All the meals were delicious and he keeps the whole place very clean and ship shape!
