“The room was spacious and had a beautiful view down to Nuwara Eliya. The host family was very welcoming and helpful, always ready to brew some of their home grown coffee. We felt like family members, while we were there. The food was wonderful, everything freshly home made; the best Rice and Curry we had in Sri Lanka.”

“Had an amazing time at the home stay of Lal, Grace and Romeni. Very nice view from the room. We had breakfast and dinner and it was awesome, typical sri lankan food. They even prepared non spicy food for me. when we did a sunrise hike they extra made us a lunch packet. City center is a 10 minute walk down the hill. Most adorable family we have ever met, even got a hug when we left. Would highly recommend staying there”

“The room was beautiful, spacious, with a great view. The microclimate there is chilly, but the bed had very comfortable blankets to keep warm. The breakfast was delicious and filling - it was a mix of western/sri lankan dishes (toasts, hoppers). The host family is lovely and welcoming. The father of the family offered to take me around the area for a morning hike, which was absolutely incredible - I would strongly recommend this activity, as the hike was spectacular and his knowledge of local nature and history is profound! The family also helped me to arrange my trip to Horton Plains.”

“Lal, Grace and Romeni are very genuine, helpfull en open minded people who will take the best care of your well being and comfort as they can. Lal can take you on a hike and he knows a lot about the ecosystem, species of plants and birds. Grace and Romeni can teach you how to prepare their divine curry's like aubergine, beans, chicken and mango. They will make sure that you eat more than you can handle. Their English is very good and you will miss their presence if you have been their guest. Best place to stay! And there are no mosquito's.”

“We had a lovely stay here! The room was clean/comfortable. The family embodies the word "sincere", absolute sweethearts. The location provides an incredible view and can't be beat. We especially liked the cooking lesson and the amazing rice and curry we had for dinner (on both our nights). Breakfast is equally amazing. Also they make incredible coffee, just you wait and see ♥️ Would highly recommend!!!!”
