“We reserved two nights and finally stayed three nights at Vaana resorts. We had a good local food. They proposed us menus and they changed if we wanted. They take care about spicy. They showed us how to eat the dishes. They organised safari and give us good advices. A/C rooms were large, bathrooms with hot water and plants near shower like tropical jungle. We had an excellent time.”

“I Stayed here twice. It is tucked away close to nature, but still very close to the town and the attractions. The grounds are spacious and you have the feeling you have it to yourself. Staff is helpfull, carries your (heavy) bags up and down. WIFI available around the nice, open spaced dining area. The second time I stayed there, there was only one other couple staying there. So, they had set up breakfast tables nicely under a tree, closer to nature. That was so nice. What you really should do here is a walk early morning before breakfast (go out the gate to the left and then follow to the right) and the same one late afternoon. That is if you want to meet locals using this path to and from the village and especially see birds in abundance. During my whole trip through Sri Lanka, this was the place where I saw the most and the most types of species. The rooms are spacious and so is the bathroom. We slept very well. Definitely recommend.”

“The staff were very attentive, generous and kind. The pool was lovely and we'll maintained, as were the grounds with many varieties of birds and butterflies! Excellent food in the restaurant with plentiful breakfasts. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our children's needs. Beautiful rooms and a great location. Thank you!”

“It was amazing! Can walk to town. Great curry from the restaurant, super great staff. The male staff member was amazing. He would always get us fresh towels for the pool and set up a dinner for us under the stars by the pool. Always went out of his way to make us feel welcome. I'm sorry I don't have his name!”

“Resort is nicely tucked away in a quiet environment. Everything is kept spotlessly clean! The pool is being well maintained. The grounds are closed off by a gate for safety at night. The room was spacious, very clean, has a large bathroom, warm shower, good airconditioning. I slept very well. The breakfast was really nice and they made me the pancakes with grated coconut I so like! In the morning a giant grizzly squirrel is doing its rounds through the tree tops. The staff is super friendly and made my stay as comfortable as possible. A big thank you to support my arrival in the middle of the night and being so gracious to carry my luggage all the way up to the room. I had a nice mixed salade in the restaurant. Good internet in the restaurant area. A bit less in the rooms. I was a female solo traveler this time: I felt very at ease and safe here.”
