HA SHEKOE HA MAKHAKHE, 700 Ribaneng, Lesotho – Great location - show map
The friendly treatment of the staff and clean environment

The setting is magnificent. Peaceful and stunning. Meals were made bespoke for us; locally produced. Thabang- the manager- is kind, sophisticated and attendant in every respect.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were treated like family. Ntate Thabang went out of his way to make us feel like we were at home. The meals were incredibly delicious and well served, the hike to the waterfall was challenging but totally worth it, and the atmosphere at the lodge was peaceful and serene. It was the perfect getaway to unwind.

The staff was exceptional. I would like to commend 'me Puly and ntate who took us to the caves. They went beyond their call if duty

Staff they were friendly like they make feel like home food and everything is just beautiful

Great place to go to get away from the busy city life

The location was great. Loved the accommodation too. And the welcome and hospitality was superb. Evening meal (and breakfast) was lovely. Also the hosts organised a couple of mountain bikes for a 4 hour guided tour the following morning. Excellent fun and good value.

Basotho hospitality is not a myth, we were received so well! Ribaneng has such a beautiful scenery, amazing staff and incredible food. Ribaneng lodge is a must if you're travelling through Lesotho.

Mikah, the assistant manager made our stay much easier and was very good conversation company! Also unbelievable sunset and stars in the sky!!!!

The location was beautiful, but either your for it or against it. Very remote rural area. We’ve taken a very bad gravel road due to our gps, but if you get to Motsekoa on the Pavel road, it’s doable. A pick-up or 4x4 is recommendable either way 🙂 We loved the nature and the lodge was clean. But the best thing about the lodge was the staff. Michael helped us with everything. He would litterally move heaven and earth to please every wish you have, if possible offcourse. We only did a short hike with visit to a cave and a 2 hour pony-trek but that was already beautiful so the rest will be even better i guess. If you’re looking for something completely different. This is the place to visit. If you want luxery and lots of options to eat, WiFi and all of that, i don’t think this is your thing 🙂
