This place was actually nicer than I thought. I mean it’s still quite basic you have a comfortable bunk in your room with tables and chairs but it was nicer than what I had in mind. The communal area has a coffee machine which you can help yourself to (delicious!) and the bathrooms were really modern and clean. It’s about a 40 minute walk over the bridge into old town and the walk is actually really nice or you can get a bolt (uber) for around 4 euro. I would stay here again :)

I really appreciated the complimentary hot drinks, this time of the year (when it's cold outside) it was like a warm hug after walking in the old town. :) For those who don't mind a little walking if visiting old town, this is a budget-friendly, value for money - option. I actually enjoyed the walk - saw this tiny boat dock at sunrise along the way. The neighbourhood was quiet even though it was saturday night. The code check-in system was brilliant, no hassle. I enjoyed the place so much that I stayed one extra night. Possibly coming again and staying here for sure!

Located in Agenskalns — district in Riga at the left bank of the river Daugava. Johnson’s house is close to all the main visitor attractions and offers free Wi-Fi, free parking and free coffee. We have no reception desk because all transactions happen through the web. The entrance door has a passcode. Each room also has its individual passcode which you will receive after reservation. There is also contact information, so we can help you if you have any questions.
I'm 22 years old, my family and I live next door from the guesthouse, so we are always ready to give you help or answer your questions
Just a 17-minute walk from Riga old Town and 8-minute walk from the Riga skyline view. Olimpia Shopping centre is 8-minute away on foot. There are also restaurants and cafes nearby. The Riga International Airport is about 8 km away and the Central Train Station is 4 km from the property. Public transport stops are just around the corner. The Johnson’s house building was built in 1898 and we have restored elements from that time, such as window frames and floors.
