Wow! i don't know how to start my review, normally i don't write reviews but today i have to write about this fantastic experience. meeting point was easy to find wich is the hotel Akabar of course, we took 4x4 car from there to the camp, As we rode camels to the sunrise, we did ATV quads for 2 hours we did jeep tour, Thanks Hassan, Esmail and Mohamed you made my dream come true. can you imagne your private tent, with comfy bed better than all the hotels do we used during our trip in Morocco, clean bathroom, and deleciuse food plus the fresh smells. My english is not good as we are from Poland. if you are going to Morocco, Merzouga is best place to visit the Akabar luxury desert camp is your place to enjoy your holidays also it make you feel as you are at home. highly recommanded!

We stay at this camp for one 1 night it was more than what we expected, the staff is hospital and helpful, the food was the best in Morocco, room is clean and nice with confortable beds, the camp is located in great location, it's far from the town. During our stay we tried some desert activities: camel ride for the sunrise and ATVs quad biking on sand dunes, we also chose to go and back from the camp by car which funny and exiting adventure. The experience was way over our expectation. The bed was extremely comfortable and the tent was quiet: we had the best sleep during our almost three weeks' travel in Morroco. Breakfast and dinner were both pleasant, plenty and well served. The staff was extremely attentive, with good manners. The ride by an SUV out of the desert was a bonus, full of fun and excitement.

Hassan's team is very competent and extremely kind. the two nights on the desert are unforgetable. we have experienced all what we would like to enjoy. the organized local music and dance evenings have been pefect. the events were planned and executed by Hassan to our fullest satisfaction. In addtion Yassin has taken care of us day and night and let us feel safe and at home.

The tents are well equipped, clean, hot water and electricity ( in the middle of the desert ). The location of the camp is behind the dunes so I advice to just go for long walks in the desert and please wake up and see the sunrise, it’s magical. The staff they will go the extra mile for you and they even surprised me with a birthday cake 🎂. even now I don’t know from where and how they did it 😅. PS: December, January, February is really cold, so take with you really warm clothes ( same as you will go skiing. ( 0 degrees Celsius in the morning ) and go with an open mind, don’t expect Dubai Luxury or Hilton Hotel. Value for the money is well balanced !

the host Hassan was fantastic and always available to organise anything you need , he has fantastic tours, knows everyone in the area and has a great team behind him, rooms were clean and luxury, always hot water, quiet and calm at night, we did camel rides and sunrise , quads and jeep tour with Hassan and all were great. meals were tasty and great tagine of beef and chicken, beautiful camp and nighttime fires and star watching .

This is quite the experience from the moment you start your camel ride to sunset visits and enjoying camp under the moonlight. One surprise was the music performance and meet up with other camps. Breakfast was your average Moroccan breakfast. It included a lot of baked goods but was more limited when it came to fruit or protein.
