Very nice city. I travel to Budva so often and love being there.
For the first time visitors, I recommend that they'd better choose summer season so that they can have much more fun and enjoy the environment (in and out of the city) and of course swimming.
The old city is quite unique day and night. You can have especially dinner at restaurant Jadran just by the sea. Next to this restaurant, there is a pub, named Bike and Beer. Its owner is the same of the restaurant. You may spend a night in there and enjoy the music which is performed by two grumpy looking elderly men. To me, they are perfectly play their guitars and sing.
Babaloo is a snack restaurant and bar. They have a very satisfying menu. This place is on the ground floor of TQ Plaza, the only shopping mall of the city.
Should you try your luck, you can visit the casino in the Splendid Hotel, ten minutes away from the city by taxi.
Inside of the old city walls, there shops and pubs. You can spend some time in one of them.
And more... To be honest, I'm tired of writing.
Go and see. You'll understand why I love Budva.
Do not stay only in Budva. Visit the other cities on the cost of Kotor Bay which is the only fjord in Mediterannean sea; Kotor, Tivat, Petrovac, Perast, HerzegNovi.
Please do travel up to Zabljak, a city towards to Serbian border in north. Visit Durmitor Natural Park and Tara Canyon (2nd in the world and the biggest in European) and try zip-line... On the way up to Zabljak, you may visit Ostrog Monastry that is placed on one side of a hill like it's curved in the rocks.

Budva is a convenient stop between entry to Crna Gora from Hrvacka and arrival at the South of the country, I had an appointment in the town; once that was fulfilled I had little incitement to explore further.

Overpopulated, busy, loud, jammed, boring and too expensive.
Overpopulated, busy, loud, jammed, boring and too expensive. There's a helicopter waking the whole town up every weekend, every day, every hour. Go to Tivat or Herceg Novi instead for a peaceful and nice vacation.

It is nice to see the Old Town, have a walk there and have a dinner there. But that's it. Besides the old town Budva is not an atmospheric place: loud and dirty. I would recommend to go to some more friendly place for a longer stay.

Budva is such a great destination for any kind of tourist: solo traveler, couple, family, group of friends, if you prefer a more chill type of holiday or active - there is something for everybody. I loved being surrounded by mountains 24/7 and clear blue Adriatic Sea which is stretching as far as the eye can see! Would definitely recommend going there in September (the month I was there) since it is for sure less crowded and much more enjoyable!

Main problem of this lovely located town is very old public facilities and garbage everywhere; local authorities collets lot of many from the tax paid by every tourist, but I doubt these money are invested back in the tourism (shame); prices in resteaurants (especially for drinks) are 2-3 times bigger than in Venice (for example), but empty places there saying that is wrong policy; Bulgaria offers much more cheaper seafood and salads, so local people should consider what they do, as in the end only Russians will come over here (already too many of them)
.It's a perfect, brand new apartments, with wonderful and very helpful stuff.
Apartment is one of the best, even comparing to 5 star hotels, it's fully equipped and very comfortable.
It's extremely clean, with great parking, position between main tourist attractions, even with its own perfect beach with free access. It having very close all stores you needs.
Price is really nothing in comparison what's you got, so I strongly recommending it for anyone.
First of all, contact with my host was amazing (she was always online when I needed her and checked twice if everything was okay). Then the localisation - right in the centre of Budva's old town. The room was clean and elegant. I was also able to enjoy sunny weather on big terrace and use well - equipped kitchen. Compared to other apartments in Montenegro that I have visited Villa Casa di Pietra it's truly a diamond.
Guest house andrea is best of the best for Budva!
People are so nice and they can be the most friendly people in all Montenegro. Many thanks to Marco and his lovely family! You should definitely stay in Guest House Andrea. I traveled more than 50 countries around the world and I couldn’t see the lovely and friendly people like house owner Marco and his family! Thank you so much for everything!
WOW! Can’t say enough about this hotel! Absolutely gorgeous! Feels like you’re home but with a dab of luxury! There is a small spa downstairs with a jacuzzi, pool and sauna! Also, there are snacks available to you all day and the hotel staff was a dream! The room was even better! So clean and beautiful views of the sea and old down Budva. Can’t recommend it enough! We didn’t want to leave!
Ths hotel was very close to Budva main bus station, which takes only 5min by walking as well as sea side of beach. There are also some supermarkets, shopping malls and cafe that you can eat and buy some gifts.
The best part was the room’s balcony. It was so large and have table and chairs to sit and enjoy the view. Ths room also had kettle to make your own tea and coffee.
We loved the staff, they were too friendly and helpfull. We got too many recommendation for Budva. Matija at the reception was great and helped with any little details. We are planning to visist that hotel again. Pool was great, private beach was awesome(3mins by waşking and no need to pay for sunbeds) It was HB and breakfast+dinner were amazing. Thanks for everything.
- The location is really good, there is a shop close to the hotel, and the beach is in walkrange. The street is quiet.
- I had free parking place on the street, front of the hotel.
- There was digital TV channels with changeable language, so I found 3-4 hungarian language channels in Montenegro, that was cool :)
- We had a good size balcony and sun blocker.
What an excellent hotel! We loved our stay at Villa Gracia. The owners are fantastic hosts, it’s obvious they care very much about the property and they want their guests to have a great experience. The location was perfect, a quick walk to the beach and Old Town. We highly recommend staying here and we would do so again if we make it back to beautiful Budva!
the apartment was nice, but for the price is so far away from the center (40 mins), one of the sheets was dirty, the hammocks in the swimming pool were broken, swimming pool okay. The reception was too messy and the girl was a little bit not friendly. It wasnt bad, but it was quality price the worst hotel in montenegro.
no gel, no place to dry the clothes
Very homely and clean property in a great location with easy access to shops, beaches, and main areas of Budva. Amazing views of the mountain ranges from the balcony too.
Sinan and his family were fantastic friendly hosts and attended to every request promptly with a smile. Would certainly look to book again if visiting Montenegro in the future.
- swimming pool and the area around
- clean and cosy room with beautiful view (cleaning everyday was a big positive surprise)
- great localisation near the sea
- friendly and helpful staff
- parking spot
Overall, the hotel was amazing and made our stay in Montenegro even better. We loved this place and will definitely come back to this hotel.
Best apartment i rented in Montenegro in that money range. Is huge comparing with others. Nice living room and big separated bedroom. Very well prepared bathroom too. Good location, 10mins to the beach, 20 to the old Budva town. Big and confortable parking below the apartment that is for you.
Very good contact with the owners.
The hotel has perfect landscape and close the everywhere by car only 5 min. They have free parking area end of the street this so important in Montenegro otherwise you have to pay 2 euros min per hours .Also hotel personnel’s so friendly and helpful.
AMAZING HOTEL! Best place to stay in Budva. Amazing location right on the beach next to the old town. Oceanfront view from room. Great breakfast. Amazing value for cheap price for a 5 star hotel quality. Staff super nice and place feels brand new.
The View was mind blowing. The Host Jelena & Misha are amazing people made us feel home and helped us with everything we needed. They know how to make their guest comfortable. Recommended to everyone who want to visit Budva, Montenegro.
Beach hotel with a private beach. Very nice staff, helpful and eager to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
The location is great, you can walk to Rafailovici or Budva from the hotel. You can’t be bored here.
This hotel exceeds all expectations, it's a cosy establishment with a very pleasant and professional staff. The food was excellent and the hotel's location is a perfect spot for most of the beaches in Budva.
