I think the staff make this hotel really good, they are all very hospitable and keen to please. The luxury and clean surroundings also makes a difference. The spa is amazing and Jasmine the therapist is absolutely fabulous at massage treatments. All the staff are excellent, Sandra runs everything very efficiently. Loridana at the front desk is also very efficient and helpful.

United States of AmericaThe SPACE is amazing! Most hotels in Valletta are VERY claustrophobic. NOT The Phoenicia - they have 9 acres. You hike through the gardens to get to the amazing pool. It is also an amazing place to go and see and be seen - it's the nicest place in Valletta - so anywhere important who is in town is staying there. It's fantastic people watching from the massive room with couches and chairs in the middle of the hotel. Unlike many European cities - it is NOT more fun to stay in the walls of the old city because it just too tightly packed.

United States of AmericaThe stately hotel is beautiful but in the heat of summer the garden walk to the Bastion pool is an oasis from the heat of the city. The infinity pool next to the bastions is like being immersed in a sculpture. In all, the property is so well run by thoughtful staff that it feels effortless to have and do whatever you want.

The breakfast was extremely delicious with dishes and a breakfast buffet which offered everything you could dream off. Additionally the hotel also offers the beautiful Bastion pool which is located just after a brief walk through the hotels garden (which alone is breathtaking), with a perfect view. The service personnel is extremely friendly and was always helpful.
