Love Marsalforn. We have been going there for over 20 years. Lots of very good restaurants and cafes. There is a regular bus up to Victoria and from there you can get buses to other parts of the island. At present the cost is 2 Euros for a ticket which you can use on multiple buses for 2 hours.

There are many restaurants to choose from, ranging from the most reasonably priced to the rather expensive ones. Irrespective of one's choice, food is always excellent. For those who prefer to eat in their apartments there are many well stocked food stores. The promenade is quite large and one can choose to swim in a sandy beach or in a rocky area.

Marsalforn is a small town on the north coast of the Gozo island. Due to the overall small area of the island, Gozo is probably the second most important coastal destination after the port Mgarr. The town offers many restaurants on the coastal promenade, the nearby Xwejni beach with azure clear water, interesting natural scenery in the neighborhood (rock window Wied Il-Mielah, rock valley Wied Il-Ghasrí with the iconic beach), several supemarkts. I spend in Marsalforn my second holiday completely satisfied with Maltese wine during relaxed evenings far away from overcrowded, nervous and traffic-jammed Malta. A number of great beaches (Dahlet Quorrot, Hondoq Ir- Rummien, Wied Il-Ghasrí) are not accessible by public transport) so I recommend rent a car. Considering the lower traffic, getting used to driving on the left is not a serious problem for a continental European. Don't forget to visit the prehistoric Neolithic Temple of Xaghra, a thousand years older than the Egyptian pyramids! I wish you a stay as beautiful and happy as mine has been.

Great home base for our long weekend in Gozo (assuming you have a car). Cute little waterfront full of restaurant options, including Yummy Yummy Chinese which was a nice change from the Pizza, Pasta, and Seafood routine. We were in the shoulder season, so the water was still a little cold, although we did opt for an afternoon in the Blue Lagoon back on Comino. Didn't try any of the swim holes around Gozo, though. The roads in Gozo can get wildly rough pretty quickly, even if something looks like it's a bigger road on the map, so just take it slow!

Marsalforn has a nice mix of swimming spots, dining, small shops and cafes. The haphazard development of apartment blocks has had a negative impact on the appearance of the area, unfortunately. We met many lovely staff wherever we went (restaurants, hotel, shops). The footpaths are in a very bad state and most of the time we felt safer walking on the street. Some of the public amenities are nice but in need of maintainance (e.g. the public garden at Qbajjar). On the whole, a place worth visiting but local authorities need to do much more to provide better infrastructure.
We love the property. So much space, clean and tidy, nice and modern Furniture. 2 balcony’s. 3 bedroom’s, 2 bathrooms, Lovely pool. Quiet street
Marsalforn is a beautiful romantic laid back place. Some many things to do. For the family, couples and I’ve if you’re single
So near to everything
The beach has everything you need
Close to the shops

The buses. To Victoria and the ferry. Run late, €2.00 and you can use them up to two hours
The fast ferry from Gozo to Valletta
Gozo has so many things to do
Marsalforn. Anyone who tells you that one day on Gozo is a fool! And Apt 5 is a GEM. Only blocks from the awesome small seaside village town, grocery stores and amazing restaurants we will treasure in our memories forever. Our host Joseph, who owns the apt, knows everyone in town and will give you wonderful recommendations. The apartment was beyond what we needed and a treasure to find. The pictures don’t lie. DO NOT book hotels/rooms a block from town. Massive construction.
Excellent accommodation in an excellent location on Gozo island. Newly built apartment with balcony, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bedroom, 2 toilets, TV in every room, WiFi speed allows video streaming, 5 minutes to the supermarket, 10 minutes to the sea promenade. The owner is a relaxed friendly guy. When we arrived at midnight he brought free food for the first breakfast and a bottle of maltese wine. Great and memorable act after a day's harrowing journey!
Not only is the apartment spacious and everything in it functions super well, but it was left very clean for us. The owner (who made sure to explain everything to us in great detail and was very welcoming) also equipped the apartment with coffee and tea sachets, which were very appreciated. It was a great and very affordable stay, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone interested in having a very relaxed and comfortable few days in Gozo.
Hotel location is right by the water's edge in Marsalforn so it's worth upgrading the room to a sea view because of the amazing view. Staff are overall very friendly and helpful, very clean common areas and rooms. Rooms have all the amenities one would expect including a mini fridge (filled up at an additional charge but still available if you don't) and coffee/tea facilities which is nice. The mattress was exceptionally comfortable.
The apartment is brand new and it is equipped with everything one needs. The rooms are really big and the terrace is huge. The nearest bus stop is two minutes away and the salt pans are at a walkable distance. There are many bars and restaurants in Marsalforn but the apartment is located in a very quiet area and the only sound that I heard was the wind outside.
Really good stay In Sunset Seaview Accomodation.
Raphael has been there for all needs and questions. The view on Xwejni bay can hardly be better ! the room was just what we needed for our stay in Gozo.
Advices from Raphael helped finding the good ways to come these and the good scooter rental place.
We will surely call him for our next stay in Gozo.
I was able to leave my luggage in Casa Genelli, the other sister's hotel in Victoria while sightseeing in Victoria. It looked like a fabulous boutique hotel and centrally located. It was a real bonus as I was able to spend hours at the citadel without having to lug my luggage around before returning to Valletta.
The apartment is brand new and was super clean. It has two balconies with amazing views. The host was kind and responding our messages very fast. Location was excellent with less than a 5 min walk from the sea and restaurants. I totally recommend it if you are looking for a short holiday stay in Gozo.
Staff were very nice every time. The hotel has a great location, and our room had a sea view. The breakfast was decent enough for a three-star hotel. Also the staff tried to make amends for our inconvenience by offering us another two days at hotel free of charge.
It was a great value for money! Location was on a quiet street, 2 minutes from the sea. The apartment was very spacious with an equipped kitchen, with a great view of a cliff. Staying in an apartment block, it gave us a glimpse into the everyday life on Gozo.
Incredibly friendly staff in a fantastic location. Easy walk to all the waterfront restaurants in Marsalforn. Host and hostess were fun and friendly. Full breakfast was amazing - one of the best on our trip!
Loved everything about the hotel. This has been my 6th or 7th stay. Love it Everytime! Every time I come to Gozo I choose to stay in Murella! Well done.
