Everything was really fine ... the only problem was the construction site nearby , 50 meters from the beach ...caused some noise and turbid water on the reef ( mid January 2024). So we have to move to the labour'islands

Gangehi Island Resort & Spa, hotel in Bodufolhudhoo

Located on the outskirts of North Ari Atoll, Gangehi Island Resort & Spa features a diving school, spa, and a long sand bank.

A wonderful resort on a beautiful island. We stayed in the Deluxe Overwater Villa, which was luxuriously furnished and equipped. The entrance directly from the terrace to the water was amazing. They cleaned twice every day and refilled the water bottles in the morning. They cook excellently in the restaurant. A large selection of local and Italian cuisine at dinner. Also fish every day. The kitchen staff also took care of our gluten-free diet - they baked gluten-free bread and pastries and prepared gluten-free pasta. Free water served at dinner. Beautiful sandy beaches with a coral reef with fish, turtles and reef sharks. Attentive staff. We recommend it to everyone.

Nika Island Resort & Spa, Maldives, hotel in Bodufolhudhoo

The beautiful 5-star Nika Island Resort & Spa, Maldives offers stand-alone beach or water villas surrounded by coral reefs. Private beaches, relaxing massage treatments and a gym are available.

Amazing place, amazing people, unexpected great Italian food in the middle of Indian ocean! Very friendly stuff without any exceptions: room-boys, chefs in the restaurant , SPA center ladies, GRO (Anna, Luka hello)), sea-guides (Ali, thanks for your kindness and videos!) and especially owners - lovely Giovanna and her brother. Thank you guys for warm feeling like at home between family members! Very clean and green-blooming territory , island looks like a garden with eco friendly and plastic free mood. Beach villas of interesting design have private beaches, comfortable beds and charismatic Maldivian atmosphere. Would love to have longer holidays staying there or come back once again!

The island itself is quiet and small (300 m in diameter, you can go round with paddleboard in 30 minutes, if you stay outer side of the reef), has small number of restaurants and cafes, 2 shops. Go to the port in the evening to see how locals are fishing! People in the island are friendly, it is safe. There is also medical center couple steps from Paguro hotel. The island has new footbal and volleyball playgrounds with artificial grass, they are public. One net is also on the beach.

It has a very nice reef with lots of opportunities for snorkelling and diving in the vicinity. The place is a couple of hours of speed boat ride from the airport. One must plan the flights as the day is lost if arrivals / departures are between 11 am & 4pm

This island has the best house reef (even better than private resort island) and it’s in pristine condition. It has a lovely relaxed vibe. The service in cafes is amazing. Streets are kept so clean and tidy as the locals make the effort of keeping their island beautiful. Bikini beach is private and exclusive and not crowded.

I have never been to Maldives so I do not have any other island to compare with Bodufolhudhoo. From my experience though, I can easily say it was a great mix of local life and tourism. I probably would regret going to a resort and experiencing only the tourist side of Maldives instead of both. Beautiful island, friendly locals, amazing diving spots & great food! :):):)

    I liked everything about Bodufolhudhoo.

I liked everything about Bodufolhudhoo. It is a very small island. You can walk around the island in about 15 minutes. It is famous for its house reef and snorkelling. You can also take day trips out diving. You can sunbathe at the beach, go snorkelling, go for a walk around the island. The people are nice to talk to and welcoming, also friendly. There is one shop on the island where you can get the basic amenities. Best option if you are coming to Bodufolhudhoo is to get full board or all inclusive. There is no ATM on the island so be mindful of this. Hotels and guesthouses will take credit card but will want commission for their services.
