United States of AmericaThe property is a beautifully remodeled only about a year ago, and feels almost brand new. However they went to great links to make it still maintain the traditional feel of an old Spanish home. It only has 11 rooms, but there is ample common space throughout the hotel. The hallways leading to the rooms are elegant and beautifully remodeled with very high-quality woodwork and nice pieces of antique furniture here in there. There were a few people staying there when I was there but even if it were full I think it still would be quite peaceful. It would be ideal for a romantic getaway for a couple. The rooms are not huge but are beautifully done with modern fixtures very comfortable beds and lovely bathrooms with great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The overall feeling of the place is of calm and elegance. They have in fact tried to maintain the feeling of the building has an elegant home that it had once been for a well to do family in San Cristobal.
