The beach, staff and pool were all great. My favorite was the infinity pool with the swim up bar. I felt safe in the family environment (plenty of kids). Couple things you should check out if you stay here: XCaret parks (Xel-Ha or XPlor are both great) and Dolphines Beach (awesome beach nearby via bus, just ask the staff and they'll show you where to catch it).

The staff is absolutely excellent. The food is great. We went to Careyes and Maki Taco and loved both. For Careyes you have to pay extra because it's fine dining but it's so amazing and worth it. The beach and pool set up were great, we were outside from 8am to 5pm every day. We were thankful to be on the Hotel Sens side because it was quieter than the Grand Oasis Palm side which is much busier with children and loud music. The room was above average. From other reviews I was not expecting the room to be as nice as it was, but wasn't worried since I knew with all inclusives you don't spend much time in the room anyway. The beach was very clean and the staff was hustling to clean it throughout the day and serve the guests. I was so impressed with how hard the staff was working and how nice everyone was. Most people spoke English.

    The fine print

    Up to two children free at any time, between 0-12 years old. To make valid this promotion, add the children information and age, into the reservation. One child free per adult paid. A third child between 0-12 years old can be accepted only if you advise in advance and extra charges may apply on arrival.

    Credit cards issued to people other guest (i.e., parent, spouse, etc.) are not accepted in Mexico.

    Student / Youth policy (YEAR ROUND) Student / Youth Travelers are defined as any guest 24 years of age and younger traveling without legal parent / guardian and is applicable at ALL Oasis properties on a year round basis. As a general rule, the Grand Oasis Cancún will be the only property that will accept Student / Youth GROUPS (not applicable to family travel). Any guests meeting the above definition of Student / Youth Traveler are subject to the following conditions: § Upon check-in, passengers will be required to pay a one-time Student / Youth resort fee (charges may vary). Policy is mandatory, per person and not refundable. Operator is obligated to inform all Students/Youths of this charge.

    Minimum age requirement for hotel check-in is 18 years of age. All rooms require one person that is at least 18 when occupied by a 17 year old passenger. All students under the legal age of 18 require a notarized consent from parent/legal guardian providing authorization and taking responsibility for the guest. No passenger under the age of 17 years of age is allowed to occupy any room without a parent or legal guardian accompanying them. Any student group traveling with guests under the age of 18 will require chaperon(s). One chaperon is required per 1-19 students/youths under the age of 18. The minimum age requirement for a chaperon is 25. All students will be assigned a special bracelet for ID purposes; this policy is applicable year round.

    Please note the legal drinking age in Mexico is 18.
