I love to host people who have never tried to live like an expat but want to enjoy everything The Yucatan has to offer in style. My tiny home is on the other side of the pool. I’m in a wheelchair and use a walker. You won’t see me much. I’m still learning how to walk after a devastating accident. I’m Canadian but now live in this amazing part of Mexico.
This place is a couple roads north of the Pelican Inn. They have day passes, wonderful restaurant, bar, and huge pool and live music on Sunday evenings. Around the corner the Sayab Bistro has a fabulous atmosphere and food and drink. Sand roads to explore. Lots of unique fitness and wellness options to investigate. Take a tuk tuk to Natural Thangs Market Mondays and Thursdays. We are in the middle of Chelem and Chuburna but much closer to Chelem Puerto. You are only 20 minutes to Progreso by car. Check out the Malecon boardwalk and all the restaurants and artisans by the beach. Barlovento’s is where expats love to hang out. Supermarkets are great Super Aki, Chedraui, Walmart even. You don’t have to go all the way to Mérida to go to Costco or Sam’s club but you can.
I fell in love with the vibe here. The ocean breeze, the sunshine and the sound palm trees make in the wind. You will become apart of this community quickly or you can stay in your own lane and never see a soul. A great place for content creators. Do your thing. Write that book. Have coffee on the beach. You will start to relax and feel more like yourself than you have in years. Enjoy
