San Juan del Rio is a very progessive and friendly city.
San Juan del Rio is a very progessive and friendly city. It may not have the large "Centro Historico" areas like Queretaro and San Miguel, but is still a very decent, safe, and pleasant large town, with less expensive options for tourists and business people alike. We stayed at the famous Mision San Gil hotel, just a few kilometers north of town, and found that driving into the "centro" was quite safe and easy, if you avoided the "rush hour" @ 5 p.m., of course. Very nice pueblo! James from Canada

Since the internet is generally bad in the hotel, they did their best to accommodate and moved me closer to the reception ( room 11) where the wifi was the strongest. The room was spacious and clean Bed was comfortable Many outlets Space to hang your clothes A desk TV On weeekend they offer a brunch for a decent price ( with limited option for vegetarian and none for vegan)
