I really liked this place, the staff is really nice , breakfast is welcome every morning, the room is cute , it's right across the street to the beach entrance , and a good price for the proximity of the beach and restaurants in that area . Just rent a bike in front and explore Tulum's coast . You get awesome smoothies in their restaurant .

Daily breakfast was awesome. The coffee is even better. And options of smoothies, juices and food fit the theme perfect. This isn’t a resort. It’s a jungle cabana and expecting anything more would be disappointing. It was what I expected. Windows are screened. Fans provided. Hammocks are superb. On-site small cenote. And weekend detox ritual. Beach is right across the street and scooter/ bike rentals. There is some outside noise during nap time. Bring earbuds. Most showers are lukewarm except early in day. Which feels great after beach time. Many conveniences nearby. Testing center. Pharmacia. small store. Taxis are prevalent. Rent some wheels and go explore. Fave beach area so far.

Tunich is (in our minds!) a one-of-a-kind space... we aren't sure what to call it. A guest house? A hotel? A B&B? It shares elements of all of these accommodation types - the independence of a hotel, the price of a guest house and the personalized attention of a B&B. Ultimately we decided not to "label" it and instead just focus on bring a service orientation to a well-priced room in an amazing location. You can call it whatever you want. :)
I left my corporate life behind to take over Tunich and take in the unique vibes of Tulum. I have a a young family and we are thrilled that my kids get to see and experience so many different cultures, languages, and personalities in one place! I am so thankful that my core team has been with me for years and are focused on delivering the best possible experience when staying at Tunich.
Perhaps we are biased, but we feel that our location is one of our greatest assets! The hotel zone of Tulum is one long narrow road that goes for miles and miles. The trick is, there is only ONE way in and out. We are located near the access road which means it is much easier for guests to go and explore the town (close enough to bike) and the other "neighborhoods" along the beach road as well. Within immediate walking distance there is a beautiful public beach (right across the road from our hotel), several supper restaurants, clothing & trinket shops and a small convenience store for basic needs. And last (but not least) we also have a bike rental shop right across the street!
