The city is beautiful to stay in if you are restricted to Victoria Island. Going to the mainland would require security.
Regarding food, it had some great Indian restaurants like Spice Route and Mantra (in Cumberland Hotel). I would recommend Mantra Restaurant to everyone if you like good Indian food.
It is beneficial if you have already planned a guy to take you around the city for your visit.

So for international travellers, best to go to, Lekki, V.I, Ikoyi, Stay in apartments resorts, or international hotel. i.e Fay Pads. Then look for a guide/driver which the resort can provide for you. Plan all your trips in advance and hold hard cash, not too much, don't rely on POS, due to network shortages. Once you're prepared there is way too much to do and see only in Lagos, wake up early, hit the roads and eat in restaurants, don't be tempted to eat on the roadside or drink pure water, as your stomach might be sensitive to how it's prepared. Don't wonder far away on your own, always let others know where you're going, use fly over bridges when crossing even if there are others not using it. Don't walk or travel at night if at all possible. When going to bed, do a final check of all doors and windows. Lagos is very sweet!

A city bursting at the seams.
A city bursting at the seams. Still struggling from years of neglect and underinvestment. Poor infrastructure, poorly maintained and no evidence that it is equipping itself to deal with the opportunities and challenges of the 21st century. That said, people are really friendly and cope remarkably well with the numerous daily challenges the are forced to contend with.

The place is nice is not my first time but they did something that will make me no go there again, security coming to my room to lie and said I should pay 250 dollars and or get blacklisted from the hotel me and my husband got angry and he started parking to checking out before our time of check out we wanted to sleep a little they made us check out by 9am instead of 12pm over nothing
my reserved room was allocated to another person , i was left at the reception for nearly an hour and i was taking to another session of their hotel and that was a very poor room and facility . old property , tv was not working , no shower , a bucket was giving to shower , i have never seen a hotel we’re they give you bucket to bath. very poor standard. The driver allocated to me charged me a lot to pick me up from the airport .
I like the location of the TLS visa collection centre. I just used the GPS map on my phone and walked there. It's a 20-minute walk to the visa collection centre.
The bed is sooo big,
The staffs were very nice and helpful.
I stayed at this property twice because of the distance to the visa collection centre.
I will suggest it for those who would be in lagos for the same purpose too.
The hotel had a truly Nordic vibe, down to the decor and scent. Our room was very CLEAN and staff were super courteous. Almost forgot that I was in Lagos for a while. Loved the variety at breakfast too and appreciated that the hotel granted my request to check out about 90minutes late. I would definitely be returning for a longer stay.
The hotel is generally okay, but I think it is a bit overpriced. Maybe that's Lagos. Good location, I'd say. Clean too, but that is expected for their rate. I like the bar, even though they don't have all the drinks on their menu.
