Hostel
El Zopilote
Calle Principal, 300 metros al sur (al oeste de Balgüe), 48800 Balgue, Nicaragua – Good location – show map
A pearl in nature, allowing city dwellers to get a tiny bite of the jungle/farm. Self sustainable with energy, serving own produce - big thumbs up. wouw. Beware that a place being in a somewhat better balance with surrounding nature, has basic bathroom facilities. We just found it perfect.

amazing place. even if you're not interested in eco friendly self sustainable property you should give this place a shot! amazing vibes amazing workshops and classes

Loved the nature and atmosphere! Very relax with plenty to do! Meet new people, try the delicious food and drink, and climb the lookout on the hilltop by day or night! Also, the free workshops and events were amazing (full moon party, pizza night, kirtan bonfire, yoga, and tantra workshop)!

Very social atmosphere and a lot of fun workshops/activities.

Relaxed hostel on a working permaculture farm. The secluded location makes it very peaceful and chill. It's a very unique experience - I don't think there's anything else quite like it on Ometepe.

Awesome jungle, great permaculture tour, food is great, great vibes! Awesome yoga!

It's an amazing jungle stay. Food is healthy and cheap, every day there's activities (breathwork blew my mind). This is not a hostel that you stay at just to have accomodation, staying at El Zopilote is an experience in itself.

I enjoyed the property immensely, so much to explore and see. Its really beautiful what they're doing, a true sustainable permaculture property. The staff, owners, and volunteers are super nice and the daily workshops are fun too (free yoga 2x a day!)

The farm, the workshops, the nature, the open dorm, the people and the pizzas!

This is a truly magical place, fully recommend for nature lovers
